Re: EQOA private server

I'd like to revive this thread a little bit.
The official forum for this project can be found at http://eqoarevival.com/
The wiki is quite interesting, too. http://wiki.eqoarevival.com/index.php/Main_Page

I dropped them a note that the US version of EQOA is still missing in the DNAS database.

Re: DNAS: saving needed packets

The code I'm referring to is for a cheat device(gameshark, codebreaker, etc). With this code the DNAS check always passes no matter if the disc is patched. That's the way I understood your post. And I agree, it is easier to create a DNAS patch for a single game than to create a full replacement ser...

Re: DNAS: saving needed packets

Would it be better to use a code to bypass DNAS? I've bypassed the DNAS for SOCOM 2(NTSC) and BattleField 2(NTSC). In both cases only a single line of code was needed. I don't know much about what DNAS actually does but I'm assuming it is nothing more than a glorified disc ID check. If this is true...

Re: DNAS: saving needed packets

We've got a total of ~150 captures for saving DNAS. Thank you very much so far! http://deathless.net/dnasforever/userlist.png I'd like to start phase 2 of the project soon (in 2 weeks), so if you want to have certain games added to the database, you should do it soon. Btw., captures for hdd games ar...

Re: DNAS: saving needed packets

All games that I have installed on my IDE HDD have the Game ID set as I said, none of them ever failed. Sometimes I use my PS2 Slim to play and their game disc and it never failed. Mhm, then I wonder why we had to patch DNAS all those years if the ID doesn't matter. The only explanation I can imagi...

Re: DNAS: saving needed packets

The check is done by PS2 Client, if you set an invalid ID the PS2 won't even connect to the internet. I always set Game ID as 11 22 33 44 55 and it never failed, even with SOCOM Patches wich is DNAS crippled. Let's assume for a moment you patched game A with ID of game B. Now your game A connects t...

Re: SOCOM 1

I didn't mean to criticize your post. It's just that it's not 100% correct. The Outbreak servers were done by the_fog alone. We worked together to get TMB:O done and Sir Tortis is now working on SOCOM I, I am helping out here and there as time allows. There's no schedule for SOCOM II yet because the...

Re: DNAS: saving needed packets

Just use any hexadecimal value and it will work. E.g. I set 11 22 33 44 55 in Game ID under OPL's game configuration screen. I strongly suggest NOT to follow this advise. First of all I doubt it'll lead to a successful DNAS check. But more important, it could possibly taint the captures and a later...

I worked with him on TMB:O and give a helping hand now on SOCOM I. Out of pure curiosity, what are the other titles?
