Hi. I'm new here. I am gonna buy a PS2 just to play online! lol :P

I just have a question. Which are the most popular online games on PS2?

I'm looking forward to play a racing game online (is Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition Remix ok?) as well as a football game (is PES 2010 good?)

I heard Socom is a popular shooter but is getting shut down soon. Which are other POPULAR online shooters (where many people are online)?

Please answer all my questions as I will buy the games I want... :mrgreen:

BF2MC and SWBF2 are still popular as hell online, but you need DNS hacks for them. CoD 1 + 2 still have a FEW people left, and there might be more with regulars too, but I don't own that many PS2 online games.......

SOCOM's getting shutdown but it still has people, if that community moves to Kai like Halo 2 is another story.

The problem with PS2 online is that many GameSpy games are up, but have empty servers, so you have to schedule times. Additionally, fewer PS2 games had LAN in comparasion to the Xbox Original.

The Xbox 1 has a similar issue. Before the XBL shutdown many games were dead, and Xlink Kai didn't see high playercounts either other then the Halos.
