Broken GameSpy Games

If you guys want OpenSpy to support some games, please list them here, and possibly provide what is not working on OpenSpy with them, and if possible, a packet dump of you atttempting to play the game on OpenSpy(and a packet dump of it working on GameSpy previously, if possible).

I suggest even games which are working on GameSpy be added if they don't work on OpenSpy, so that they can work for the future.

Again, please provide packet dumps of them working on GameSpy(if possible), or trying to work on OpenSpy, so I can see where it fails, and compare the differences if applicable.

*edit*

Also, it's important to note where it fails for example, if it fails at logging in its the login server at fault likely server listing, master server etc but still a packet dump is the most useful.

*edit 10/18/12*

I've seen people are exporting the packet dumps as text, its a lot easier for me if you save it as a wireshark capture(.pcap)

Here's a quick guide on using wireshark which will capture packets in .pcap files which CHC can use more easily than a text file:

1. Download Wireshark here: http://www.wireshark.org/
2. Use Internet Connection Sharing on your computer or a bridged network cards on your computer. Plug your PS2 into your computer while using one of those methods.
3. In Wireshark click on "capture" at the top of the page then click on "interfaces". Identify your network card on your computer that the internet cable from your ps2 is plugged into. Then click "Start" to start capturing packets from your ps2.
4. Connect to the online mode of the ps2 game.
5. To stop the capture click on the little icon with the red and white circle on it. It is the 4th icon from the right, and is located below the "view" link.
6. To save the captured packets click on the floppy disk icon which is about 3 icons to the right. Then upload the .pcap file to a website and link it here. Favrenation recommends sendspace.com for this

Some of you have done some game testing and packet capturing, but it's split it up in different threads:
http://www.ps2onlinegaming.com/forum/vi ... =35&t=1246
http://www.ps2onlinegaming.com/forum/vi ... =10&t=1250

I stickied CHC's thread since he's the creator of openspy and it makes sense to organize all the testing/ captured packets into this thread. So, please help him out and post your findings/ packet captures in this thread so he can try to make more gamespy games work on openspy. I'm thinking I'll edit the end of his 1st post in this thread as the information comes in to make things organized.

Thank you CHC for creating openspy and supporting it and thank you guys for helping to test things and capture packets!

How do I test it? I can test SWBF2, Midnight Club 3, both Gamespy CoDs, and BF2MC.

Well first see if a game is still online normally through Gamespy. If it's now offline normally use Bobz's DNS, which uses openspy to see if it works on that and let us know what happened.

If you know how to capture packets, CHC would like you to capture packets of ps2 games that are still online normally through Gamespy, so he can try to make them work on openspy when they go offline.

If a gamespy game no longer works online normally, and you try it on Bob's dns (which uses openspy) and it still doesn't work, CHC would like to see the captured packets of you attempting to use that game on Bob's dns/openspy so that he can attempt to fix it on openspy.

So... what games do people miss playing online that Gamespy took down long time ago? Im too lazy to logg packets from random games that nobody will ever play...
