Auto Modellista SNAP Server

Post by BevP99 »

Anyone know how to replicate or emulate the Sega Network Application Package server for Auto Modellista?

I was curious as so far we have been able to bring Resident Evil Outbreak and Gamespy servers back to life.

yes, I know. At least partly. I published emulation of SNAP in a short series of articles on my blog. But interest in imy articles was so low I decided not to continue.

It's one of the projects I would suggest for the skilled starter in cybernecromancy. The NTSC-U version has intact debugging symbols, no DNAS to worry about, and a quite robust protocol. That is until you are able to emulate the lobbies and gamerooms. Then things get slightly more complicated with multiple players. Sadly, I discontinued the article series before I was able to get into online gameplay.
