List of Normal Online PS2 games: http://www.ps2onlinegaming.com/forum/vi ... ?f=29&t=17

List of games with LAN mode (Xlink Kai): http://www.ps2onlinegaming.com/forum/vi ... ?f=29&t=30

Lists what online games members of the site have: http://www.ps2onlinegaming.com/forum/vi ... f=10&t=222

And for an added bonus: list of games with network setup utility built in: http://www.ps2onlinegaming.com/forum/vi ... ?f=10&t=84

Every week we play Time Splitters Future Perfect on Saturday. Thats a FPS that runs really well. We also have a random game played every Sunday that people can vote on. (See game scheduling section and calendar for details).

Nice listing of info Favrenation haha. Since you got those out of the way I can just say my personal recommendations.

For games that can only be played online by LAN tunneling (Xlink Kai), I would recommend

First Person Shooters
Timesplitters 2
Timesplitterse Future Perfect
Project Snowblind

Racing Games
Jak X: Combat Racing
ATV Offroad Fury 4

Car Combat
Twisted Metal Black Online

You already know about the tony hawk games so I dont need to mention them haha

For Games that have their online servers still up I would suggest:

First Person Shooters
I am not a huge fan of any of these games, but I enjoy occasionally playing them online.

Area 51
Call of Duty 2: BRO (also has a LAN mode)
Call of Duty 3
Cold Winter

Third Person Shooter
Star Wars Battlefront (also has a LAN mode)
Star Wars Battlefront 2 (also has LAN mode)

Tactical Shooters
Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm (great online co-op)
Sniper Elite (very unique game focused on sniping)

Personally I think that a lot of the games that are only able to be played through LAN tunneling now are better than most of the Playstation 2 games that still have their servers up. For Example: I enjoy Timesplitters 2, Timesplitters Future Perfect, and Project Snowblind more than any of the first person shooters on PS2 that are currently still online through their normal servers.

If you are into RPG's at all we play Champions Return to Arms occasionally. Its an expensive game to get though.

The server are still up. The only other one you need to DNS patch is Tribes Aerial assault. He didn't mention the game because that is game is either loved or hated. Its only 2 dollars at gamestop though. http://tribesaa.16.forumer.com/ They are dedicated to playing it. I doubt your interested in it. I really like the game though. But that game has a community just like Tony Hawk.

Also the Socom games are good third-person tactical shooters. There are four socom games and I believe they all still have their servers up. Socom: Combined Assault has the largest online community of any PS2 online game, so you can get into matches whenever you want. I've had a decent amount of fun with it.
