This is really a great news!
They need to update their DNS in ordert to redirect all the games! We will have 1 DNS for everything!

If they could adapt this to all games still online it would be a game changer !

I'd like to add that the following games pass the DNAS test using the replacement server:

•Biohazard Outbreak File #1
•Biohazard Outbreak File #2
•Monster Hunter
•Monster Hunter Dos
•Gundam vs. Z-Gundam

All games are NTSC-J version.

Are those games still playable online with obsrv's server?
I know about outbreak 1and 2 (I play them on this server), but didn't know about the 3 others (Monster Hunter, Monster Hunter Dos and Gundam vs. Z-Gundam)!

if not which DNS do you use ?

With your answer, I could add them to the "games Still playable online in 2016" list and may be bring more players!

Best regards

Sorry, I wasn't very clear at this point.

The replacement server is listening on deathless.net's IP. This means private servers for the above mentioned five games need to redirect gate1.jp.dnas.playstation.org to 149.56.101.45 and can pass DNAS. The nameserver of obsrv.org redirects this gateway, but they only have private servers for the Outbreak games.

There exists a private gameserver for the Gundam game in Japan, hard to find though. As far as I know there are no private servers for the Monster Hunter games in public yet. I developed testservers for those (MH1 works pretty good, MH2 is not even alpha) but didn't go public.

If this could work for the gamespy games, then almost all of those will be online forever as openspy works for most of the games.
