Thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where we can mention any sales or deals that relate to the playstation 2.



For Black Friday type of stuff there is a couple deals I know about.

Having a buy 2 get 1 free deal on used video games. PS2 games are included. I often buy from this site and they are usually a bit more expensive then other places. However, they are great for listing the conditions of games and I have never had a game not work that I bought from them. Sale lasts from 11/25/10- 12/8/10. Restrictions apply so make sure you read that stuff.

They also have a buy 2 get 1 free deal on used games, so PS2 is included. Sale is from 11/24- 11/28/10 It looks like its online as well as in stores. If you care about getting your games with manuals or cases though you probably shouldn't buy them online from gamestop.

I should stop by Gamestop tomorrow, but the PS2 games are really starting to get ignored. They just used to have a whole part of the wall...now they have a little rack for all the ps2 games...I don't even know where the Gamecube games are. When I gave them the case for Greg Hastings a few months ago, they took like 10 minutes finding the disc...turns out it was out back for some reason. Soon enough Gamestop will stop selling PS2 games which will be inconvenient for me, since I have 2 Gamestops really close to me.

Amazon is having a buy 1 get 1 40% off deal on some Playstation 2 games and it also works with games for other platforms so you can mix and match to get the deal.

There are some good games for the PS2 selection. I just noticed the "Spongebob Square Pants Happy Squared Double Pack" Which has 2 platforming games which are supposed to be good. I will be using the deal for that game pack primarily.

the game Xplosion here in Colorado is awesome, they have a huge as wall with just ps2 games on it

A buy one new game get one 50% off deal that has some decent games in there for PS2. They have some online ps2 games as well. Star Wars Battlefront 2, Ratchet Deadlocked, Champions of Norrath, and a Call of Duty collection that has Call of duty: Finest hour and Call of Duty: Big Red One.

Unless you are intent on getting new copies of these games, it's probably not that great a deal since you can get the games cheaper used usually.

As much as I hate this chain of stores, I have to admit that they currently have a great deal.

This deal works in the store or online. I tried doing it online first, but seems like you need to have an edge card or something to do so.

I can recall when the PS1 games and SNES games slow disappeared from the walls I was so mad and sad by the change... CHANGE SUCKS.....

Check you're local Wal-marts they are starting to down grade the PS2 section and usually have a clearance rack in the back and usually a box laying in electronics somewhere of what they have on hand. I found a few PS2 games for under 10 bucks listed in our stores.

They have a pretty great deal going on right now for used playstation 2 games. If you buy in bulk, you can save a ton of money. Basically the more your order total turns out to be, the bigger percent off you can get. Make sure to note that you have to enter in a different promo code for each level of discount. Also, if you buy all used games and your order is over 20 dollars you get free shipping.

I just had an order total like 105 dollars. This promotion discounted me 35 dollars. With that free shipping deal I paid nothing for shipping either. I ended up with 16 used ps2 and xbox 1 games hehe
