This is a sweet idea. Alternatively - or in addition of - we could use a clock showing people's local time under their avatar. Or some other system of figuring out what time people are at.

At the least we could use something like this put in an easy to find place.

Also, I think giving the exact time someone joined pointless. I feel it should be given to the month if at all.

So why we don't use this map? Perhaps we could get some flash clocks and set them to different time zones.

Yes I already was working on finding a gmt map/ time converter to stick in a good place for people to see that. I will do that shortly.

That clock idea is a good one too, we would have to figure out how to make that work exactly, but we can look into it.

I posted a news thread about this:

I worked out a solution so that now you can add real time clocks for your gmt time zone into your signature.

I would still put a map somewhere, but that's just me.

Somehow it's not working for me. Don't ask me why.

Edit:

Okay figured it out. you need to write gmtplus2 instead of gmt+2 ...

Yes, I say how to do that right above the list. I cannot just type out the exact code because then a clock will just show up lol.

More like because the minus values work with gmt-3, but the plus values need to be gmtplus3. That's why it didn't work for me in first place.

Well yea, its explained in the list. I couldnt use the + symbol for the code because it would detect gmt-3 as the same thing as gmt+3. So I had to make the plus ones like gmtplus3.
