Gran Turismo 4?

Go here to talk about Playstation 2 online games that can be LAN tunneled through programs like Xlink Kai.

    Gran Turismo 4?

    Post by YoWatsUp »

I just realised that Gran Turismo 4 can be played via LAN tunneling, yet I'm surprised that no-one is talking about this game here regarding how massively good and popular it is/was. So, are there still people playing GT4? (Note: I don't have GT4 anymore so can't check)

It's less popular than MC3:DUB and TOCA Race Driver 3, I'm assuming?

I have tried to play via xlink but everytime I check no one is online so I would say unless you set up a game it is dead

Does anyone know if it works well? I remember several years ago trying to link 2 PS2's locally and the game lagged horribly. I can't imagine playing over the internet would be any better.

I have seen some game footage of a game plated via xlink and it doidn't seem to lag at all I think it really depends on the connection

I know people used to play it pretty frequently on Xlink Kai years ago, doubt it's that active anymore. It's not really a type of game I'd enjoy as I prefer arcadey and kart racers over realistic ones. Still, try to post in the game scheduling lan tunneling section of the site if you want to try to schedule a time to play with people.

I am into sim racing on PC.

I have RFactor and Shift 2 among others.

Anyways. I also have a modded ps2 that has Gt4 on it but the game isn't compatible with my force feedback wheels. (They're too new)

so that sort of sucks. Also I do not have xlink setup and probably never will :\
