My friend told me that the servers were shut down yesterday and i checked this morning and it seems that they are shut down if anyone else could check that would be great.

Which version, PAL or NTSC? And what error do you get?

I know that the PAL version has been shut down months ago, which I guess is what jacobrocks was getting at when he asked the question.

I've been having trouble going online in the NTSC version of Killzone, too. Yesterday morning, I got the message, "A NETWORK TIME OUT HAS OCURRED - The operation timed out. This might have been caused by a temporary glitch in the network or by a more serious networking problem." However, I tried again later that day, and made it to the universe list. I just tried again, but got the same error message I saw yesterday morning. I'm guessing that it's just temporary downtime.

It was NTSC and i think the error was "the server is unavailable at this time"
