BF2MC needs a special DNS to make accounts. SWBF2 is still up and no account is needed, plus it runs over LAN. GameSpy died for many older games (PC was also affected), but you can use bobz dns to access an alternate GameSpy server which works for many games that were more popular like Flatout 2 or ...

You forgot FF11 as well, still up on it's normal servers, but you need a offical HDD/BC PS3 and a monthly fee. The expansion sadly isn't coming to the USA on PS2, but it is in Japan if someone has an imported model.

Yep, pretty much. On the PC though at least 99% of GameSpy-era games had some form of LAN mode or Direct IP connection, so even when gamespys down they can still play.JamesCableCar wrote:From what I've read Glu Mobile are doing this purely for money.
