Well the xbox 1 version of the game does have a LAN mode so you can LAN tunnel it through Xlink Kai. The ps2 version doesn't have LAN.

I dont like them either. They annoy me just about as much as THQ:P

I never understood how so many cross-platform games have LAN support for the Xbox but not the PS2.

Just a heads up about the Xbox version of XIII, It doesn't have headset support in LAN, and it's one of those few games where the version released in predominantly Spanish speaking regions such as Spain and South American isn't compatible with the rest of the world.
The most moronic thing is if they replace the default.xbe (game executable) file of the game in order to connect with the versions of the rest of the world. GhostRecon 2 and GR2: Summit Strike have the same problem

Just a heads up if your ever wondering you can't connect to people in some games well LAN tunnelling. When the game doesn't have ping limit, only a few do and it's usually 150, so you just get the person int he middle of all the players too host
Example: A person in Eastern North America Host so those in Western North America and Europe can all play together).

Also instead of the Mode in the PS2 and Gamecube where you shoot the singing mini death guy for points it has a Counter-Strike/Return to Castle Wolfenstein multiplayer like mode, where you pick a class (Grenades, Main weapon, and amount of armour differ per class) and you one team has to bomb 3 objective son the map well the other team defends them.

Probably because it was easier to just slightly modify the netcode for LAN with XBL.

Also, that's why I like the Xbox more, more games had syslink so shutting down original live wasn't that big of a loss.

Heroes of the Pacific is still online through GameSpy. I amended the list to reflect which games were affected by the mass server termination earlier this year. Rainbow Six 3 was added, while Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow was removed, as it was terminated years ago.

EDIT: Removed And 1 Streetball, as FreddY reports that it is still online.
