PS2 Online Gaming

I'm getting a PS2 to play online.

I just wanted to know whether people still play PES 2008 and PES 2010?

I would like to play a football/soccer game online, so I searched for games and found these two are the only remaining ones. But are there still active players?

Well, I believe all the PES games are offline unfortunately, but I don't know this for sure. Also, what are the two remaining football games? If they are online, I doubt many people will be on them, if any.

yeah pes 2010 is shutoff for all systems ps2 and new gen consoles.
fifa 08 for ps2 is also shut off
not sure but its safe to say no online soccer for ps2 exists

i know nfl blitz pro or blitz the league have gamespy and should work online still

also the 2k sports titles mlb/nba/nhl 2k8-9-10-11 are all still on
nhl 2k10 was the last one., mlb 2k11 was the last one with online and nba 2k12 is the most recent and last ps2 online game ever

well, i think all official football games in PS2 are offline now, I know other PES online is a mod have many players playing in PC and PS2 and they use the same server, but i think is not permitted speak about mod or pirate games in this forum...

Well i have tried to connect to these servers on PES but i have had no luck. I am willing to help test and set things up if anybody knows how to connect to it. BTW unless it involves illegally pirating games its ok on the forum.

Yeah i have also tried all my soccer games that offer online, all FIFA, PES seem to be offline, if anyone finds a soccer/sports game that still has its official servers up, i would be up for a game.

I found the server mentioned above (http://www.pes6j.net/) but havent been able to test it because i dont actually own PES6 for PS2. If we could get it to work then I'd probably pick it up, Soccer+PS2+Online=<3.

I tried something like that and tried to connect but got errors. Probably something i'm missing cuz most of those sites are spanish or Portuguese.

I read a gamestop review that said nba2k12 is not able to be played online on ps2 do you have it is that not true because if it is online I am going to buy it
