Apparently we were right. Someone should also try using OpenSpy for PC games, they'd love it a lot more there.

From what I've read Glu Mobile are doing this purely for money.

Area 51 is the best... Got it for £1.50 (around 2.50 dollars and 1.90 euros) :D

Yep, pretty much. On the PC though at least 99% of GameSpy-era games had some form of LAN mode or Direct IP connection, so even when gamespys down they can still play.

Yeah the PC is much more fortunate than PS2 games really. It just pisses me off that they did this without warning or even telling the developers!
