Under Attack... Expect Downtime...

I released something new for the THPS PC community the other day and since my competition (THPS.us) found out, I've been dealing with DoS attacks for the past 2 days. Snipe and his haters club seem to be planning more damage soon, so just letting you guys know to expect downtime on the games I've been providing...



That 25,000MB is well over 65,000 at this point. The screenshot was taken this morning...

yea. it hasn't seemed to completely kill my connection once yet, but has gotten to the point where alot of external things such as that won't be received.

I have managed to get around it slightly though still under the same attack as yesterday ~100GB downloaded per day over the last 2 days... Combinations of my router firewall and other things are dropping alot of it, allowing the server to function, but it does tend to build up over time and the server has been needing a restart every few hours to keep it going. I'll keep doing my best to keep the server functioning normally.

You should get a better firewall firewall. I suggest getting comodo firewall and do this http://forums.comodo.com/firewall-help- ... 248.0.html. A better hardware firewall is good too. Just PM me if you need help.

felt i'd post the worst day since the beginning, before the graph expands again and all of the bars get smaller because of passing 100,000mb...

I can't fully comment since I'm not aware of all the details, but continuing this attack seems really childish. Not only are they giving you and your host grief, but they're also compromising the non THPS services. Whoever is continuing this needs to realize how selfish they're acting toward those not affiliated with the THPS community.

I am my host. I'm surprised my ISP hasn't said anything about this yet. And childish can sometimes be seen as an understatement with this guy... He is in the "mine" phase small toddlers go through with THPS being "his" and that I am not allowed to run my server... Generally people complain about the speed my site loads to begin with. After all this I'm surprised people are still able to get on at all.

That sucks man, I still can't believe there are people like that in the world. They are such a hassle for the rest of us.
