if you did want to do a game of tribes, what game style would you like?

Re: Sunday night Tribes
ok, let me host some ctf or if you could change your room to 10 minute hunters would be killer
Re: Sunday night Tribes
Well basically teamR@@kie is the only one of us who is experienced in tribes.
I'll admit it's a cool game but in 1v1 vs team. he would rip my a$$ a new one.
So we really can't 2v2 with him on a team. it's unbalanced and it wouldn't be fun for anyone.
This creates a unique problem because not many of us play tribes and it doesn't have a story co-op mode like Timesplitters does.
I would also like to say that I'm not particularly good at ANY FPS games on the ps2. I can't seem to get the joystick to properly center like I can with a mouse and keyboard.
I'm more of a PC gamer myself but I am a ps2 hobbyist and I like to tinker with my modded Ps2.
Now I will still want to play more tribes of course but I think we need to broaden our horizons more.
Hopefully you guys will realize that Ps2 with a hard drive is the way of the future and pick up a fat boy Ps2 + a network adapter and a hard drive and get a game set like I have.
Currently I have 110 games on my hard drive. now that is hard for people to imagine how much space 110 game boxes would take up.
Here is a img for reference.
You guys should really get ahold of a fat boy ps2 and hard drive mod it. it's the only way the Ps2 will live on.
Eventually all the lasers inside will die out or the discs will become scratched and then youre out of luck

Re: Sunday night Tribes
i have a friend or two that plays, it would balance out the teams
I'll be the first to admit that tribes has a huge learning curve and once you get some of the basics down, it starts to open up big time
I've played some ghost recon, star wars bf1, bf2 modern combat, area 51, socom, greg hasting's paintball, and i played the hell out of kill zone
there has been a turn out for time splitters, but it's a hit and miss
i don't have time splitters though
i'm just glad how easy it is to make tribes active
i hope you have a good turn out for the other current fps games online but I'm sticking with tribes
how much is that hard drive thing ?
well hopefully we can do another Sunday night game. I was surprised by who showed up, thanks to skype i guess

Re: Sunday night Tribes
gathering interested people for a Sunday night game of tribes
around 10:30pm cst
for the most part, i was thinking about doing ctf and only small maps
small maps makes it easier to learn the game, where to go, what to do, and it just makes it more intense
might do one large map with vehicles called slapdash it's the one we usually do
if everyone that said they play shows up then it should be a good turn out
